 Arsenal Bows Out of Europa League



The English premier league leaders-Arsenal football club were edged out of the Europa competition. The Arteta boys came close several times to carry the night but were denied by an ever determined Sporting Lisbon.

Xhaka opened the scoring in the first half of the game to make it 3-2 on aggregate before a volley made the equalizer in the second half.



The game was then forced to extra time and eventually penalty shootout were they lost 3-5 on penalties.

The league leaders can now focus on their Title chase in the remaining of the season.
