Chelsea are in advanced talks to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton. Manchester City previously bid £30m for the left-back but had their offer rejected. Chelsea are now willing to meet Brighton's asking fee of £50m.

It will be remembered that Thomas Tuchel Chelsea manager earlier in the week said " I am building a team that other teams will be afraid to play against" and he his doing everything to bring who he deems fit into the Chelsea team.
Chelsea signing for this transfer window has been very strategic.
