 Two-time Olympic Gold medallist and NBA star Brittney Griner has been jailed in a Russian prison.

Moscow police say they found vape cannisters with cannabis oil in her luggage..

The US basketball star was previously prescribed medical cannabis in the US for a chronic injury in 2020.

President Joe Bien has declared the act unacceptable. Her team Phoenix Mercury and their opponent Connecticut observed a 42sec silence for her that is her court number before their game.
