 Irina Shayk is a Russian actress and model who dated Cristiano Ronaldo for 5 years between 2009 and 2014. The pair met back in 2009 during a modelling gig for Armani Exchange, and they hit it off pretty quickly.

They kept a very low profile all through the time they were together, insisting that they did not want fame to affect their relationship in any way. But that low profile didn’t stop them from being dubbed the most good-looking celebrity couple back then.

And it also did not stop them from having trouble in the relationship. But the biggest trouble they had which ultimately led to their split may leave you a little shocked.

However, the relationship continued and Rinaldo seemed unmoved by those claims. But by the end of 2014, the ice broke. Ronaldo's mum was to celebrate her birthday on 31st of December and the star was set to surprise his mum with his girlfriend, but she refused to go with him.

Sources said that Rinaldo became angry and ended the relationship as he took his mum more importantly than any other person in his life.

Irina Shayk in an interview denied that the breakup was as a

result of the argument and that she never rejected going to see the mum. She also claimed that she was in good talking terms with his family members up until the split happened.
