Confirmed! Chelsea Lands Sterling From Mancity
City approve Sterling’s transfer to Chelsea
Chelsea and Man City have reached an agreement over Raheem Sterling's transfer to Stamford Bridge.
This is confirmed by two top sources, Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic's David Ornstein, with Romano announcing the deal with his trademark "here-we-go". The two reports quote slightly different fees that the clubs have agreed upon. As per Ornstein, Chelsea will pay a fixed 47.5 million pounds fee. Romano insists that the clubs agreed on an initial package of a 45 million pounds fee plus 10 million pounds as add-ons.
The England international has already reached an agreement with the Blues on his personal terms.
This is going to be a five-year deal, with an option for a one-year extension. Chelsea are now working towards arranging a medical quickly so that Sterling could join the team on its United States pre-season tour.
