3 Qatar 2022 World Cup Controversies
Qatar is hosting the 2022 World Cup, in what is sure to be one of the most controversial tournaments ever.
Qatar is the smallest country ever to host the World Cup and it’s the first Islamic country too. While it has big plans for the tournament, there are also huge controversies that are impossible to ignore.1. Human Right laws:
As the pressure keeps mounting on the global stage for guys and lesbians to be accepted by all and sundry Qatar being an Islamic state has come out boldly to say it will not in any way tolerate such and act in its territory. Many gay fans have come out to say they will not be traveling to Qatar.
2. Poor Work Conditions:
Not less than 34 workers have died since the construction of the stadia begun in Qatar. The working conditions have not being favorable plus the migrant workers do not have a say of thiers as they seem to be owned by their contractor.
Although things seems to have improved but more is still desired.
3.Lifestyles
Normally alcohol is restricted to hotels and rooms but it will be served in parks at about 5 pounds per pint in Qatar.
She claims to be expecting about 1million persons but the stadium are far apart from each other like about 1hr drive apart, making it feel like the Olympics.
But the Mundial will be a light and exposure for the nation and even the Asian continent at large.
The Qatar 2022 world cup finals will be played on the 18TV Dec 2022, we hope things end well
